Lincoln County commissioners completed the second reading and adoption of amendments to Chapter 10 (alcohol licensing) after staff and the county attorney led the reading. The changes add a Class G brewpub category, add or revise definitions (section 10-32), and update section 10-53 (requirements for selling alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises). The commission suspended further reading and adopted the revised sections individually by motion.
Following the ordinance action, Director Seymour presented numerous alcohol-license renewals. The board voted on renewals individually, approving a set that included Clyde's Cross and Rayford Convenience Stores (class A off-premises), American Legion Post 597 (class C), Rocky Branch Golf Course (class B), Fishing Creek Food and Gas, Folk Creek Marina & Resort, Soapri Social LLC, Southern Fox Winery LLC (class A/C/F), and others. Commissioner Clyde abstained on at least one renewal; the clerk recorded one renewal as passing "3 to 0 with 1 abstention."
County Attorney Gracie/Grayson and Director Seymour noted all applicants had met the ordinance requirements before votes were called.
