Staff told commissioners that four proposals were received and a review committee that included Patty Garrett and the supervisor of elections evaluated the packets and recommended the Southern group. "They have the most thorough packet," a staff member said.
A commissioner moved approval and the motion was seconded; the clerk called for those in favor to say 'aye' and the chair declared the motion passed with no opposition recorded.
The county did not provide budget or contract-term details during the discussion; staff said the bid packets and recommendation were in the agenda materials online and will be distributed to commissioners for reference.
