Mableton — The City Council confirmed Jerry Silver as the city’s new code enforcement director during the Dec. 10 meeting. Silver, an internal candidate and former supervisor in code enforcement, told the council he has over 25 years’ experience and multiple certifications, including International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) credentials and Georgia Association of Code Enforcement levels 1 and 2.
Mayor and council members congratulated Silver on the promotion and said the city will rely on code enforcement to improve housing conditions. Silver said he looks forward to serving the community and thanked family members present in the audience.
