Superintendent Doctor Massey (presenting the item) said the district held a business taxation hearing and that overall taxes are projected to rise about 2.4%. Massey explained the change reflected a planned decrease to the general fund levy coupled with an increase to the debt fund and a long-term facility maintenance adjustment intended to stabilize taxes for residents. Massey said staff met with a constituent after the hearing to walk through the levy details and the distinction between voter-approved and non–voter-approved levies.
After brief member comments thanking staff for outreach, the board voted by roll call to certify 2025 property taxes payable in 2026.
