Fox Chapel board swears in new directors, elects officers at Dec. 2 reorganization meeting

The Fox Chapel Area School District Board of School Directors held its reorganization meeting on Dec. 2, 2025, swearing in newly elected directors and electing officers for the coming year.

District Magistrate Matt Rudsky administered the oath of office to newly elected directors Amy Cooper, Adam Good, Jessica Hasselcorn and Ariel Zich in a group ceremony. "It is my honor and privilege to swear in all of our newly elected school directors," Rudsky said during the ceremony.

Following the oath, the board conducted officer elections. Holdover members nominated and voted to appoint Eric Hamilton as temporary president early in the meeting; later, by roll-call vote, the board (with the recorded votes read aloud) reelected Dadd to serve as president, Ron Frank as vice president and Vanessa Lynch as assistant secretary. A separate vote appointed Ron Frank and Amy Cooper as the district's representatives to the Beatty Joint Operating Committee after Frank received nine votes and Cooper five (Katie Finley received four votes).

The board also appointed Ariel Zich as the PSBA legislative representative by roll call.

The meeting then moved on to routine reorganization business including adoption of the 2026 meeting calendar and administrative housekeeping items. The board adjourned the reorganization portion of the meeting and convened a combined agenda study and regular business meeting for Dec. 2, 2025.

What happens next: the board will begin 2026 committee work under the newly elected leadership and follow the calendar presented at the meeting.
