Finance staff presented a year-end projection showing about $4,045 remaining, and explained that a $15,000 warrant-article match is included only if a $300,000 grant is awarded. After discussion the committee approved operating-line motions on elections ($18,500), voter registration ($3,300), treasurer (amount per packet), legal ($100,000), planning board ($11,195) and multiple public-safety and administration lines by voice vote.
The committee approved funding for several outside agencies and community nonprofits, including OCC elder nutrition ($35,000), OCC daycare ($7,000), White Mountain Community Health ($7,400), Life Ministries ($8,000) and Kingswood Youth Center ($5,000). Members debated a $10,000 request from a new Provisions Food Pantry; concerns about the group's newness were raised, but the committee approved the $10,000 request after several members emphasized strong demand for food assistance.
On capital items the committee approved warrant articles to be presented for voter consideration, including a $600,000 paving warrant article, a $200,000 CRF for highway equipment, $100,000 for government buildings and a $10,000 addition to the library CRF. The committee also corrected an overstatement in the town-clerk record-restoration line (reduced by $40,000 to reflect an encumbered carryover) and approved ambulance contract funding of $454,423.
The committee confirmed procedural deadlines: petitions are due to the Department of Revenue Administration (DRA) portal on Tuesday, Feb. 3; the committee said it will try to finalize its work in a meeting before the town hearing and identified a near-term snow date if weather forces a change. A special procedural issue surfaced about a precinct that previously uploaded an unsigned warrant article; members said they will re-upload signed materials and notify DRA for checklist review.
