The Protection Policy Committee voted Dec. 8 to recommend approval of a Class B liquor and Class B beer license for Grassy's Tap at 1939 Main Street. The police department told the committee it completed a background check and had no objections to the license application.
"We did a background check but please have no objections to this license," a police department representative told the committee during the review.
Committee members moved and seconded the measure and approved it by voice vote. As the chair noted at the start of the meeting, committee approvals are recommendations to the common council; final licensing action will occur when the council considers the application.
The recommendation was recorded during the committee’s regular business and will appear on the council agenda for final approval.
