At the Dec. 18 meeting, Ron Glisson updated the Glynn County Board of Assessors on follow-up with TrueRoll, a product staff has evaluated for roll processing and related functions.
Glisson said vendor materials in the packet guarantee an annual cost of approximately $67,000 and state the vendor would "hold the line" and make up the difference if realized savings fall short of expectations. "If the product is gonna cost annually, it's gonna cost approximately $67,000," Glisson said. "They're gonna hold the line with that. So in theory, if we only say if we save something less than that, they'll pick up the difference."
Board members noted the budget for the coming year has already been submitted, and Glisson said the item is in the budget but can be removed if the board prefers. Staff indicated a planned implementation date in the packet (07/01/1926 in the transcript) and emphasized that no vote was required at this meeting; the item was presented for information and potential further questions.
The board did not take a formal vote on TrueRoll at the Dec. 18 meeting. Staff said they would proceed with vendor coordination and bring any formal procurement items back to the board for action if required.
