The Kirkwood R‑VII School Board voted to approve an on‑call representative agreement with Navigate Building Solutions and to approve Task Order 1, which assigns Navigate to manage the natatorium project this coming spring and summer.
Administration described the on‑call arrangement as a flexible, as‑needed relationship — there is no automatic ongoing commitment to use Navigate unless the district issues a task order. The district has had Navigate provide intermittent support in recent projects; the on‑call contract formalizes that relationship. Administration said each task order will be brought to the board for approval and that Task Order 1 covers front‑end scope development, vendor proposal coordination and bid management for the Walker Natatorium work.
Board members asked whether Navigate would be paid on a lump‑sum or itemized basis for task orders; administration said the Task Order 1 pricing presented was a flat fee for the task order but that future task orders could be itemized. The board voted to approve the on‑call agreement and to authorize Task Order 1; final task‑order work and contract awards will return to the board as required.
