The Independent School District 152 school board handled routine business and approvals at its Dec. 15 meeting, adopting the consent agenda, approving an annual resolution on combined polling places for school district elections not held on the statewide election day, completing second readings of policies and adjourning at 6:57 p.m.
Consent agenda items included approval of Nov. 24 regular- and closed-session minutes, December claims and personnel actions (medical leave, resignations, new employees and staffing requests). The consent agenda was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The annual resolution to establish combined polling places and designate hours for possible future school district elections was presented as a housekeeping item (locations are listed in the agenda packet). The board approved the resolution by voice vote.
Board members also approved the second reading of policies presented with no changes from the first reading, allowing staff to update the policy manual accordingly.
Board business closed with a brief superintendent update noting Melissa’s election to the Lakes Country Service Cooperative Board, then a motion to adjourn at 6:57 p.m. passed by voice vote.
