Planning Commission recommends changing regular meeting time to 5:30 p.m. on second and fourth Tuesdays

City staff asked the Tulare Planning Commission on Nov. 10 to recommend that the City Council amend the commission procedures to change the Planning Commission’s regular meeting dates and start time to the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m., aligning commission meetings with the council’s updated schedule.
Staff said the proposed change was discussed at the previous meeting and that commissioners present during the Nov. 10 session indicated the revised schedule would work for them. The staff presentation noted the change would take effect with the 2026 calendar year and that City Council formal approval would be required for the amendment to become official.
A motion to adopt a resolution recommending the change was moved and seconded. The commission voted by voice; Commissioners Lemus, Guerrero, Henard, Vice Chair Miller and Chair Miguel recorded ayes and the recommendation was forwarded to City Council.
Staff also noted there appears to be no business for the commission’s second meeting in November (the week of Thanksgiving) and that meeting will be cancelled; staff said they will notify commissioners about December items as they develop.
