Speakers also compared nearby jurisdictions’ pricing: staff said some agencies offer seven-game seasons at lower fees and that El Dorado Hills runs a seven-game format at a lower price point. Commissioners weighed whether a lower price would attract more teams and whether the program could accommodate growth.
After discussion, Speaker 1 moved to accept staff’s recommendation and the motion was seconded. The commission voted in favor and the motion passed. "I would like to make a motion that we go with your recommendation," said Speaker 1 before the vote.
