On Nov. 18 the Scott County Board took time to recognize a longtime Human Resources/Benefits staff member, Rhonda, who will retire after more than 40 years with the county.
County leaders recounted her tenure across multiple payroll and personnel systems, her role shaping benefits policy and employee insurance programs, and her service during complex transitions including COVID-era benefits administration. Speakers described Rhonda as an institutional resource who handled claims, contracts and employee questions and who helped build internal processes that remain in use.
Rhonda accepted remarks from colleagues and commissioners and thanked staff and retirees; the board presented a commemorative plaque and wished her well.
