On a separate item, staff said the City’s airport participated in the statewide airport maintenance program in 2024 and completed chip sealing on taxiways with a total project cost of $276,195.96. The city’s share was $13,809.80; the council approved an agreement reimbursing the city $4,000 from the South Dakota Department of Transportation fuel tax fund to cover part of those improvements.
