County rejects vehicle bids after administrative error; will rebid Chevrolet Tahoe purchase

County staff told commissioners that a bid package for 2026 Chevrolet Tahoes contained an administrative error originating with the county that created confusion and led staff to determine one bidder’s response was nonresponsive. "The error did cause genuine confusion with them and caused the issue that caused the bid to be nonresponsive," a county presenter said.
Staff recommended rejecting all bids and reposting the solicitation to provide an equal opportunity; a motion to reject and rebid was approved by the board. Staff said the rebid will be posted on the county website and that the purchase will be brought back for board consideration when bids are received.
