The Weston County Commissioners approved Resolution 2025-29 on Dec. 16 setting the county's official holiday schedule for 2026, listing 11 full days and two half days, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and others.

During discussion Commissioner (S4) pointed out the county's schedule "gives more benefits than even the state of Wyoming does on days off," noting the state offers nine paid holidays while the county's list totals 11 full days and two half days. The motion to approve the resolution was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.

The resolution is recorded in the meeting packet as Resolution 2025-29. No additional county funding or changes to payroll practice were recorded on the meeting record; staff will implement the schedule in departmental calendars and payroll processing.
