City recognizes Lowe's Hometown Heroes for Jean Robertson Field restroom makeover

The City of Salinas on Dec. 10 recognized Lowe's Hometown Heroes for renovating the Jean Robertson Field restrooms, providing fixtures and volunteer labor to improve the site. Director Lundquist introduced the recognition and said the city is grateful for the partnership that improved a neighborhood park facility.
"The restrooms look fantastic, and the community is pleased and happy to see the improvements," said Anna Ambris, Recreation Park Superintendent, who described donated sinks, toilets, doors, wood and paint and noted park maintenance staff worked closely with Lowe's associates on the installations. A Lowe's representative thanked the city and said the company looks forward to future projects.
The commission presented certificates to volunteers named by staff, including Priscilla Camacho, Carlos Benitez, Monse Mejorado, Katie Mann and Monica Morales, and posed for a group photo. The chair then moved on to the evening's agenda items.
