Livermore Beautification Committee reviews 2025 activities and presents awards

Livermore — Tom Bradley, chair of the City of Livermore Beautification Committee, presented the committee’s 2025 annual report to the City Council on Nov. 24, summarizing volunteer projects, Arbor Day activities, anti‑dumping efforts and the reinstated Beautification Awards.
Bradley acknowledged committee members and city staff liaisons and highlighted collaboration with Livermore public works and Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District to donate trees to 11 school campuses. He described an Arbor Day art and poetry celebration held in Sycamore Grove Park with 41 entries ranging in age from 8 to over 80, and detailed coordination with local arts and library partners.
The committee described work to identify illegal‑dumping hotspots, organized volunteer cleanups — credited to committee member Andrew Wong’s monitoring and outreach — and said new signage is planned at identified hotspots. The committee also updated a proposed street‑tree replacement list in collaboration with public works and said a redesigned Beautification Awards brochure produced nine applicants and seven winners this year; Bradley read the list of winning properties and invited those present to accept yard signs.
Council thanked the committee for its work and presented the Beautification Awards on the dais.
