The Pacifica School District Board of Trustees moved through several personnel and governance actions, electing officers for 2026 and approving interim executive employment agreements.
During reorganization, trustees took nominations and voted on board officers for the coming year. The board then moved to appoint Carissa J. Bowman, interim superintendent, as secretary to the board. A motion to appoint Bowman as secretary passed unanimously.
Rachel Romo summarized proposed employment agreements for interim executive roles and read required public contract summaries under California Government Code. The board approved an employment agreement for interim director of financial services, Dr. Stacy Stauffer, including a retroactive annual salary figure and standard management benefits, and separately approved an updated agreement for interim executive director of educational support services, Dr. Carla Chavez Torres. The agreements specify term dates through June 30, 2026, vacation and sick‑leave accrual, and benefit provisions consistent with cabinet management employees.
The board also adopted verified certificated and classified seniority lists for employees after Human Resources confirmed distribution and employee review. Trustees approved those lists by vote.
All of the employment agreements and the seniority lists were approved during the meeting by unanimous voice/hand votes.
