Court honors three county employees retiring after decades of service

Melanie Miller was recognized for 26 years of service to the Juvenile Probation Department (service history and promotions were read into the record). Commissioners and colleagues praised her cross-training work and dedication; the court adopted the resolution by unanimous vote.
Julie Madsen, a forensic death investigator with the Denton County Medical Examiner's Office, was honored for 14 years of service and her work communicating with families, law enforcement and hospital personnel; the court adopted the resolution unanimously after remarks from multiple commissioners.
The court also read a resolution honoring Jonna (Jona/Jonna per transcript) Sweet for 10 years in the County Clerk's Office; the item was included in consent and adopted during the consent vote. Each honoree spoke briefly and received public thanks from the court.
