Post Falls council approves series of vacations, annexations and a fiscal-year 2026 budget amendment

At its Dec. 23 meeting the Post Falls City Council approved a slate of routine and land-use ordinions and one budget amendment. The council approved motions to adopt vacations, annexations and plats on their first and only readings, and adopted a fiscal year 2026 budget amendment to reflect unscheduled revenues.

Items the council placed and approved by roll call included (as introduced in council): Villa Pointe North Vacation (VAC-25-2) to vacate a 10-foot ingress/egress and utility easement; Northplace Vacation (VAC-25-3) for about 5.05 acres of right-of-way; Poll Line and Zorros annexation (ANNX-24-2); annexation at 4553 East Poline Avenue (referred to in the record as Pauline/Poline annexation ANNX-24-2); Echo Estates Annexation (ANNX-24-5); G2 Development Annexation (ANNX-25-2); McGuire/Maguire Annexation (ANNX-25-4); and the Fiscal Year 2026 budget amendment number 1 to reflect unscheduled revenues and authorize expenditures. The consent calendar, which included multiple plats, agreements and reports (cash and investments, accounts payable), was approved earlier in the meeting.

Council conducted roll call votes for each ordinance and the budget amendment; the city clerk will assign final ordinance numbers and publish the summaries as required by law. These items were recorded and adopted during the meeting in the order presented on the agenda.
