Human Resources staff explained a time-only extension (no additional funding) for multi-year temporary personnel contracts (contract numbers 1213056 and 1213057) that will move the expiration to March 31, 2026. Commissioners approved the contract-term increase to avoid service interruptions while the new procurement completes.
Commissioners reviewed a recommendation for award for a four-year temporary personnel RFP with recommended vendors (Trifecta Inc, OpenWork LLC, 20 Second Century Technologies Inc) with an estimated aggregate not-to-exceed amount of $30,000,000. Staff said the procurement is still in audit and asked for time to finalize a substitute recommendation; commissioners voted to defer item 1513 for two weeks and return it to IRPS.
Administration also introduced two walk-on items to be placed on the board docket: a one-year lease renewal for a Police Services special-operations facility at 2156 Flintstone Drive in Tucker (contract #1197126) funded from seized funds for $90,420, and a HEAT grant from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety for $120,779.36 to support Metro Atlanta multi-jurisdictional DUI task-force enforcement. Staff said the HEAT grant must be accepted before Dec. 31 to avoid losing the award; formal acceptance procedures will proceed through the CAL and full-board process tomorrow.
Next steps: the items recommended by committee will appear on the board docket; the HEAT grant and lease renewal will be walked on for final action tomorrow.
