The Town of Acton Select Board took several formal actions during its Dec. 1 meeting.
Continuance: The Board moved and approved a continuance of a public hearing on the Suburban Glass & Mirror site plan and rezoning application for 60 Powder Mill Road to Feb. 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
Roche Brothers license transfer: Following a brief public hearing, the Board voted to approve the change in manager and transfer of a retail malt and wine license for Roche Brothers at 387 Massachusetts Avenue.
Marcus Lewis Racquet Club (site-plan decision): The Board reviewed a draft decision for a Site Plan Special Permit and two Use Special Permits to construct a clubhouse, pickleball and tennis-court enclosures at 45 Nagog Park/62 Onset Path. The motion to approve the decision included additional conditions discussed at the meeting: a requirement that wastewater arrangements be secured prior to issuance of an occupancy permit and a condition that plantings included in the landscaping plan have a 24-month survivability requirement. The motion passed.
Committee disbandment: The 53 River Street Master Plan Committee asked to be disbanded after completing its project; the Board voted to disband the committee.
Consent items and minutes: The Board approved multiple routine consent items (appointments, gifts and acceptances) and approved amended meeting minutes from Nov. 17, 2025.
Votes were taken by voice or roll-call as recorded in the meeting transcript; specific roll-call tallies beyond unanimous "aye" statements were not transcribed in full in the record.
