Chair Hernandez called the Port Hueneme Water Agency to order at 4:00 p.m. and led a brief meeting in which members approved the agenda and the consent calendar without discussion.
Adam Clerk conducted roll call, announcing Ex officio member Bridal Lawson, Member LeBeau, Member Lopez, Member McQueen LeJeune, Vice Chair Thomas and Chair Hernandez as present. The board heard no public comments; Clerk reported, “No public comments.”
A motion to approve the agenda was made and seconded and passed unanimously. The consent calendar was also moved, seconded, and approved unanimously.
Vice Chair Thomas asked about sharing information from an executive session after attending a district meeting: “When, I went to my district meeting, I wanted to share information that was covered in the executive session, but I didn't because I wasn't sure how I do that.” Adam Clerk said he would follow up with legal counsel and return with guidance: “I'll come back to you with an answer on that to make sure that we handle that correctly.”
Chair Hernandez said the agency had received an offer to participate in a documentary about the city’s waterways, describing it as a project to show “how trash travels down the waterway system,” and said she will meet with a staff member identified as James to share more details and coordinate with Port Hueneme City and the city council.
There were no business items on the agenda. Chair Hernandez announced the next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 4:00 p.m. in observance of Martin Luther King Day and adjourned the meeting at 4:03 p.m.
