Nava said the original contract was about $375,000, the change order adds about $93,000, and the total project cost would be $468,851.69 — leaving a remaining budget of roughly $98,724.31 from the allocation of $567,576 (a mix of Measure P and CDBG funding).
Council asked about maintenance and protection of the batting cages and electrical outlets; staff said outlets would have protective covers and the facilities would be locked when not in use. The council moved to approve the change order and the motion passed 5–0.
The change order brings the dugouts and related facilities into compliance with ADA bench and circulation requirements and funds electrical infrastructure for planned batting‑cage equipment.
