Council approves property acquisitions for Peachtree Corner Circle roundabout, reappoints planning commissioners
Summary
Council authorized acquisition of two parcels for a proposed roundabout at the south end of the Forum on Peachtree Corner Circle (one parcel appraised at $51,800; transcript lists the second parcel's value as “$4,200.4200,” which appears to be a transcription artifact), and approved a resolution reappointing and appointing Planning Commission members.

The Peachtree Corners City Council authorized acquisition of property needed to construct a proposed roundabout on Peachtree Corner Circle and approved planning commission reappointments at its meeting.
City Manager presented two resolutions related to the proposed roundabout at the south end of the Forum. The first parcel, R6301049, was presented with an appraised value of $51,800. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.
The second parcel — R6301136 — was presented as the final acquisition needed for the project; the transcript records an appraised value of “$4,200.4200,” which appears to be a transcription artifact. The council approved that acquisition by voice vote as well.
Council also approved a resolution reappointing certain members of the Planning Commission and appointing a new member; Mr. Adams said he would be available to answer any questions. The council approved the appointments by voice vote.
City Manager noted he would defer longer manager updates to allow council members to leave for scheduled holiday commitments and canceled planned executive sessions, concluding the meeting.
The approvals permit staff to proceed with property closings and next steps in the roundabout project; the council did not discuss project construction timelines during the meeting.
