The Quincy Board of Licenses Commissioners on Dec. 16 approved annual renewals for section 12 (on‑premise) and section 15 (off‑premise) alcohol licenses for 2026 and listed several licensees that will not renew for the coming year.
The board began with a reading of the open meeting law and a roll call that showed a quorum. The board then moved to the annual renewal item and recorded a motion to approve the section 12 and section 15 licenses for 2026; the motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote.
Board members recorded a list of licensees noted as not renewing for 2026: Fab Cat at 1495 Hancock Street; The Blue at Bridal Bay, 307 Victory Road; Shiapunja at 1237 Hancock Street; Ty Sap Kitchen at 3 Brook Street; and Neighborhood Club of Quincy at 27 Glendale Road. The board did not provide further details on reasons for nonrenewal in the meeting record.
The board also reiterated holiday alcohol-sale rules for licensees: off‑premise licensees may not sell alcohol on Christmas Day; on‑premise licensees may not sell alcohol until noon on Christmas Day; and all licensees may sell alcohol on New Year’s Day.
A separate motion to accept the minutes from the Dec. 9 hearing and waive the reading was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board wished attendees happy holidays, set its next hearing for Jan. 13, 2026, and then moved to adjourn.
Votes and motions at the meeting were recorded as voice actions; no roll-call tallies or individual yea/nay votes were listed in the transcript.
