She said the neighbor’s downspouts were directed to the front yard and are now discharging toward a mature pine tree, creating what Harrison described as a hazard. Harrison said she filed a civil suit that was settled, but that the French drain still diverts water onto her property; she also said code enforcement had closed the case and the issue remains unresolved.
Council members acknowledged the complaint and asked staff for follow up. Interim City Manager Mister Harris said he had "had several conversations with Miss Harrison" and that she should look for a response from public safety.
The council did not take formal action on the complaint during the meeting; staff indicated public‑safety follow‑up would be forthcoming. Harrison asked that code enforcement and the city address the drainage, replacement of a retaining wall and the ongoing hazard to her household.
