Morris Township Committee approves mediation agreement for affordable housing compliance

Morris Township Committee members voted unanimously on Dec. 8, 2025, to approve Resolution R251-25 authorizing the mayor to enter a mediation agreement through the Affordable Housing Dispute Resolution Program to address outstanding matters related to compliance under the New Jersey Fair Housing Act.

The municipal clerk read the text of the resolution into the record, which states the township has been involved in matters related to affordable housing compliance under the New Jersey Fair Housing Act and that executing a mediation agreement is required to participate in the dispute resolution program. The resolution authorizes the mayor to execute any documents necessary to enter the mediation agreement and authorizes the municipal clerk to attest to the execution.
