Zoning Board adopts 2026 transition calendar for regular meetings

The Minneapolis Zoning Board of Adjustment on Dec. 4 amended its posted agenda to add consideration of a 2026 transition calendar and subsequently approved the calendar by voice vote.
Chair Matt Perry moved to amend the agenda to include Item 11, adoption of the 2026 transition calendar; the board adopted the amendment and later voted to approve the calendar. The motion passed on a voice vote; the chair said the calendar includes four scheduled meeting dates for 2026.
Board members also briefly discussed meeting locations and accessibility. One member raised concerns that counters in the new meeting room are high and may not be accommodating for people with mobility limitations; staff said they would relay those comments to the clerk’s office. The chair and staff noted that quasi-judicial boards would remain in the new meeting location for the foreseeable future and that staff are working on meeting technology and accessibility.
