Board members moved and seconded approval of the Nov. 25 meeting minutes and then approved grouped consent items: curriculum items A–H, finance and operations items A–G, personnel items A and B, and Support Services item A. Each motion was made, seconded and called by the chair; the board’s votes were announced as "Aye" and the chair declared the motions carried.
Legal counsel said the meeting had one action item: extending the agreement with Mr. Pontecorvo as the chairperson of mathematics at Elmont Memorial High School. The board approved that extension after Mr. Redden moved and Miss Battle seconded the motion; the chair announced the motion carries.
Also on the agenda were a second review of the district credit card policy and a first review of an updated homebound instruction policy; those policy reviews were presented for the board’s consideration and no final vote was taken on the policies at this meeting.
The board scheduled its next meeting for Jan. 27 at New Hyde Park Memorial High School and adjourned after closing remarks and holiday wishes.
