Lang previewed the upcoming Holiday Boutique (more than 40 vendors) and an extended Santa’s Workshop and asked for volunteers to staff story times and sensory activities.
Lang also described early‑childhood outreach and screening efforts: staff screened 25 three‑ to five‑year‑olds and are pushing earlier contact with families to improve kindergarten readiness. A new online brochure and registration page are expected to go live in the coming days.
Rachel Schulz reported the elementary school’s fundraising drive exceeded its $60,000 goal, ending at about $79,000. She said those funds will be used to renovate the media center circulation desk to improve accessibility and to create flexible reading spaces for younger or mobility‑impaired students. "We raised and exceeded our $60,000 goal. We ended at about 79,000," Schulz said.
Community Ed and elementary staff described ongoing MTSS work, SEL screening review, and staffing challenges for paraprofessionals and substitutes; administrators said they are aligning PD and assessment planning to support early screening and intervention.
