County accepts natural-resources block grant; adds $20,000 for low-income septic program

The staff summary said the grant covers multiple programs and that an additional $20,000 was added this year for low-income septic grants, bringing the county’s low-income septic account to about $50,000 for allocation over the coming year.
The presenter said the county typically funds up to 75% of eligible septic project costs (up to $10,000) and uses program dollars to increase the number of low-income recipients who can receive assistance. After approval staff will e-sign the grant agreement and proceed with program administration.
