Lusk reminded the board that a 2020 pool study existed but said it "did not inform as well as it could." She listed three locations previously considered — Lars Anderson, Putteram Golf Course and Fisher Hill — and said the town should avoid "winners and losers" and instead find a site that best uses the available resources. Lusk also said she had asked Northeastern University faculty to have senior‑capstone students study a 4.4‑acre parcel behind the town dump that contains a reservoir and a nonfunctional 3‑foot drainpipe; she suggested the caretaker's cottage adjacent to the Lars Anderson site could be repurposed as a pool house to reduce new construction.
Asked for follow‑up, Lusk requested direction on how to circulate the Northeastern RFP and have town departments evaluate the proposal; town staff said they would follow up.
The Select Board did not take formal action on a pool study at the meeting; the comment was entered into the public record for staff follow‑up.
