The Middleton Finance and Personnel Committee on Sept. 2 recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution 2025-42 to amend the 2025 stormwater utility budget for the Middleton Hills Southeast and Spring Hills projects. The committee recorded no net fiscal impact for the amendment on the meeting record.
Committee members moved and seconded the recommendation; the motion passed by voice vote with ayes recorded and no opposition voiced on the record. A member asked about construction timing and possible effects on motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Ben, speaking on behalf of absent staff, said both projects are intended to be completed this fall and "there should not be any interruption if or very minimal interruption if any to roadways and public services as well for the project." That assurance was offered as the committee considered potential mobility impacts during construction.
The resolution was introduced to implement stormwater work in the identified neighborhoods; the committee recommended the Council consider final adoption at its next scheduled meeting.
