The Alamogordo City Commission approved two restaurant alcohol licenses Dec. 2 following brief public hearings and staff explanations.
City staff said the application from Richard Norwell (Pizza Patio) required a new filing with the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Division because of an LLC change; commissioners approved the beer-and-wine license without substantive opposition. Separately, the commission considered a spirits (liquor) license for OMG Alamo LLC doing business as Oppenheimer Gas House at 902 New York Avenue; staff described it as a new restaurant B license for on-premises consumption without patio service. Both items were approved 7-0.
Commissioner Josh Reardon moved to approve the Pizza Patio license; Commissioner Crystal Guthrie seconded. Mayor Pro Tem Sharon McDonald moved to approve the Oppenheimer Gas House license; Commissioner Guthrie seconded. City staff and applicants were present during the hearings and no protests or conditions were recorded in the minutes.
The approvals allow the applicants to proceed with state-level licensing steps required by the New Mexico Alcohol Beverage Control Division.
