The presentation stressed that employees skipped under the criteria are expected to teach in the designated area for the following school year. Trustees discussed whether IB certification should be added; staff said IB training is not universally district‑funded and that adding requirements that necessitate training would require a year’s notice and collaboration with SRTA. Trustee Medina moved to approve the resolution and the motion passed unanimously on roll call.
