Director Hennerfein told trustees the sign qualifies for a 20% match under DIP criteria because it is halo-lit; the total sign cost was described as just over $8,000 and the requested village share was $1,618.84. Applicants said they had completed a soft opening and will schedule a ribbon cutting once the sign is installed.
Trustees asked about remaining DIP funds for the year; Hennerfein estimated roughly $145,000 left and said the program continues into future years. Motion to approve was made by Trustee Matt Scales and seconded by Trustee Linda Little; the board approved the grant by roll call.
