The Buckingham County Planning Commission voted on Nov. 24 to recommend that a rezoning application for a storage, retail and light‑manufacturing operation operated by applicant Kaufman be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors.
The applicant described plans for storage buildings, a retail outlet selling on‑site products and a manufacturing building to assemble storage units. Operating hours were identified as roughly 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., six days a week. Commissioners who had visited the property said the site and proposed layout were acceptable and moved to advance the request to the Board of Supervisors.
The Board will consider the rezoning at its next meeting; standard permitting and site‑plan review will follow if the rezoning receives final approval.
