Board accepts October financials and approves routine consent items; motions pass unanimously

The Fulton City School District board voted unanimously on a set of routine items following a financial presentation by Sue Burke. The board approved Action 5.01 to accept the October financial report (vote recorded as 'Passes 6 0 0'), accepted disposal of surplus property (Action 5.02), approved the committee on special education (Action 6.01), and approved a bundled personnel slate of items 7.01–7.08 (recorded as passing unanimously). The meeting also included motions to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters and contract negotiations, and adjournment, both of which were approved.

In the financial presentation, Sue Burke compared current-year October results to the prior year and said the district’s revenue was at about 38% of expected for the year, noting a temporarily slower October and that another large state-aid payment is expected in December. She called out benefits at about 27% of budget (down from about 35% at the same point last year) and equipment at about 40%, driven largely by musical instruments and state-aided technology purchases. The board accepted the financials and moved forward with the consent agenda; no substantive policy votes or spending increases were recorded.
