On Dec. 9 the City Council of Orange approved multiple appointments and reappointments to Citizens Advisory Committee and the Board of Adjustment.
Miss Monson moved to reappoint Sarah Richards to the Citizens Advisory Committee for a term expiring Dec. 9, 2029; Richards indicated she wished to continue serving. The council recorded affirmative votes and reappointed her. The council similarly reappointed Kelly Patton to the Citizens Advisory Committee through Dec. 9, 2029.
The council addressed a vacancy following the recent passing of Nedra Francis. Two candidates — Reginald Broussard and Dustin Yu — were mentioned. Councilmembers nominated Dustin Yu and, after a vote, appointed him to fill the vacancy (term expiring 06/25/2028). Council also considered Board of Adjustment reappointments (several members whose terms expired were reappointed for terms ending Dec. 31, 2027) as recorded on the meeting record.
The motions passed with recorded ayes; the council did not record public opposition on the record.
