Finance staff highlighted several capital expenses and grant-related items: a Cedar Bio final invoice ($38,329) tied to FEMA public-assistance work, engineering charges for a Lamar permit extension, drainage-study expenses, and interest previously earned on SB 22 funds that must be returned to the Comptroller ($539.77) where not spent. Officials explained that interest earned on certain grant funds accrues through the county's investment activity and must be remitted to the grantor when not used.
All related motions passed with recorded votes. Staff said they will continue to reconcile grant compliance items and provide documentation to the court as required.
