City official announced the launch of Plan Beavercreek, a comprehensive update to the city's land use, zoning and property maintenance codes — the first such update since 1980. He said staff held public open houses that drew more than 100 residents and that the land-use plan update will move to council work sessions starting in January, with completion expected mid- to late-2026.
The planning and development department also reviewed 18 major development cases in 2025, including rezonings and site plans for businesses such as Panda Express, Valvoline, AutoZone and Bubba's 33. Residential development activity included 93 new single-family permits, primarily in Sky Crossing and Amberwood communities.
The official framed Plan Beavercreek as a tool to guide long-term growth strategy and asked residents to participate in upcoming engagement opportunities; all plan materials and related documents will be posted on the city's website.
