Beavercreek completes stormwater master plan, flags $15 million in needs

City official told council Beavercreek completed its first community-wide stormwater master plan since 1983, identifying approximately $15,000,000 in capital needs and roughly $1,200,000 in annual maintenance costs. "We completed a stormwater master plan... it said we had about $15,000,000 and needed capital improvements and about $1,200,000 in annual maintenance that is needed," he said.
The presentation noted the Willow Crest stormwater project closed in early 2025 and was funded with ARPA dollars. The official said the city spent $5,000,000 in ARPA funding in 2025 to address stormwater and infrastructure needs before federal deadlines.
City staff highlighted that much of the identified stormwater work remains unfunded and will require prioritization across the five-year capital plan and potential grant matches. The stormwater plan also lists culvert and stream improvements that the city can use to guide future capital investment decisions.
Council materials and the stormwater study will be made available on the city's website for public review.
