Hoover Council OKs service agreement to add two fire hydrants in Black Ridge subdivision

The Hoover City Council voted Dec. 8 to authorize the mayor to execute a service agreement with Central Alabama Water to install two new public fire hydrants in the foothills of the Black Ridge residential subdivision.
City Attorney told the council the work will place hydrants in the public right of way near Lot 313 (314 Black Ridge Crest) and Lot 346 (346 Black Ridge Circle) to enhance fire protection and emergency response. Councilor Murphy was recorded as abstaining from discussion and the voice vote; the resolution passed.
The mayor is authorized to execute the agreement and the city will work with Central Alabama Water on siting and installation details.
