The Village Board granted a 12-month extension to the planned unit development approval for 116–120 W. Eastman Street (original ordinance 2023‑085), moving the PUD expiration to Dec. 18, 2026. Director Rodman said the petitioner has not secured a building permit within the two-year approval period and filed a written request describing financing and timing challenges.
The developer told trustees he secured new equity partners and plans to begin paid work on construction drawings in January, with design completion targeted about four to five months later and construction bidding following. Trustees asked for status updates; several members said they support the extension but expect visible progress and encouraged a six-month check-in. Trustee Manganaro moved to approve the 12‑month extension and the board voted in favor.
Staff noted that if the extension were not approved the petitioner would have to apply again and undergo the full PUD process.
