Levy Court approves sewer extension to serve four Davis properties

Levy Court unanimously approved Resolution 41‑39 to extend Kent County Sewage Disposal District No. 1 to include four properties owned by Sylvia Davis in the County’s primary growth zone.
Public Works staff explained the proposed sanitary sewer service would provide four equivalent dwelling units (EDUs) through a connection to an adjacent gravity sewer main and require a small pump station. Sam Bautista, Director of Public Works, told commissioners there is adequate downstream capacity and the property owner accepted terms making the owner responsible for design, permitting, construction and required fees.
There were no public speakers in opposition at the hearing. Vice President Robert Scott moved to adopt the resolution; the motion passed on roll call 7–0.
Staff will proceed with permit review and utility design following standard Public Works procedures; the owner is responsible for all project costs and impact fees.
