Parks & Recreation committee recommends approval of multiple contracts and policies to council

Staff clarified that table‑style food vendors generally are not required to carry liability insurance but food trucks are.
Other items the committee recommended for council approval included:
- Athletic facilities user classification policy (clarifies residency and user tiers for field rental), - Veterans Memorial maintenance agreement (defines responsibilities between the city and a volunteer committee backed by the American Legion and VFW to enable grant administration), - Parks and Recreation fee schedule (annual update of user fees and classifications), - Castlewood Golf Course management agreement with Foursome Golf Management (noted change: indemnification language updated; manager guaranteed $50,000 with revenue split above that), and - City entertainment performance agreement for the Hometown Holiday event (local performer contract; event scheduled Dec. 5 with volunteer needs and tree lighting around 6:55 p.m.).
All motions were moved and seconded and passed by voice vote at the committee meeting; the committee did not itself execute contracts or appropriate funding — it forwarded recommendations to the City Council for final approval.
