During the meeting the council considered several consent/procedural ordinances and voted to adopt them.
Ordinance 25-12-02 updates city code references to the current Florida Building Code and the National Electrical Code with no substantive policy changes, a staff representative said. The council approved the ordinance on second reading.
Ordinance 25-12-03 adopts amended final budget changes for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024. Staff described this as a "clean-up" draft and said meeting with auditors led to a reduction of about $2,700,000 to the previously approved FY25 budget. Council approved the appropriation ordinance as presented.
Ordinance 25-12-04 establishes a development services special revenue fund to segregate building and development-related fee revenues and expenditures for clearer statutory compliance and internal tracking. Staff said the change improves transparency and compliance; council approved the ordinance.
