Council approves consent agenda, asset sale, personnel hires and multiple board appointments

Staff said the borough negotiated from an initial offer of $15,000 up to $18,000, and approved the sale to simplify the transaction and cover budget overruns related to a new interceptor.
Personnel hire: Council approved hiring Mary Ungerman as a part-time substitute crossing guard, pending required clearances and background checks.
Appointments: Council confirmed multiple appointments to boards and commissions: Matt Choate to the planning commission (term 01/01/2026–04/13/2027), Colton Chandler as civil service alternate (term to 02/01/2031), Ben Belmont and Chris McCormick to the zoning hearing board, and Dorothy Kramer to the library board. Motions were moved, seconded and approved.
